When sleeping bodies move
Drafts of coolness seep
Down the empty middle
Of a space filled
With you and me

Finding religion inside a moan
When an ache crawls
Across that space

A shadow grows along
The cold tile walls and floor
Nails click to the time of
A slow lumbering gait
